About Us

Hi, my name is Caroline and I emigrated to New Zealand 19 years ago, from England. I’m Mum to two gorgeous fir babies Wendy a Labradoodle, as well as a cat called Fred. I’ve always had a passion for animals all shapes and sizes and there has never been a time in my life when I’ve been without a dog.

 

I inherited my love for animals from my parents. I was brought up in the English countryside alongside many animals. 

 

My background working with animals includes spending four years at Guide Dogs New Zealand working in the kennels and breeding centre. This also included boarding and training guide dogs including puppies.

 

I’ve run a successful dog walking business for six years in east Auckland and have recently relocated my business to Te Kauwhata.

 

Happy Hairy Hounds and Friends stock a wide variety of pet supplies. This includes collars, leads, pet wear and dog treats. There is also a large assortment of hard wearing enrichment toys and puzzles to choose from. 

 

I live by the ideology that animals are a gift of unending and unconditional love and deserve to be treated with the utmost respect and love that we as humans can give to them. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members!
